Project Description

Lora Flora

Kids will love making their own insect hotel in Lora Flora’s workshop at Soul Festival! Come and make your own native bee hotel from recycled materials, and meet some cool critters such as giant live stick insects and monarch butterflies!

Lora is a Conservation Biologist passionate about raising environmental awareness in the community, with a focus on youth education. She believes that connecting children with nature is critical for the future of the environment.

She coordinates the Earth Assist program for Western Australian school students through Conservation Volunteers Australia. The program teaches students about sustainability and biodiversity through hands on practical activities such as making worm farms, re-useable bees wax wraps, waste audits, making micro bat boxes, tree planting excursions, marine debris surveys and more.
