Soul Festival is coming to South Beach for an enlightening weekend of yoga, music and wellness for the whole family. Featuring some of Fremantle and Perth’s most up and coming musicians, yogis and speakers it’s an event not to be missed!
Soul Festival is a weekender of health and fun for everyone to be hosted at South Beach on the 6 and 7 April. Soul Festival aims to integrate some of life’s joys that nourish the soul such as practicing yoga and meditation, dancing together, having discussions, eating delicious food, drinking healthily and relaxing into a weekend of fun, connection, healing, learning and feeling part of something bigger.
Soul Festival director and events coordinator Vida Barrett says “It’s been amazing to see the community embrace the idea and get on board with it. It is not easy to facilitate something like this in a public space, but it’s worth it to get such great feedback from presenters and public, showing us that this is really something the community wants and needs.”
Tickets are $70 per day or $120 for the weekend and include live music performances from Soukouss Internationale and Grace Barbe to name a few, eight styles of yoga, a range of talks for the conscious minded and plenty of activities for the kids including circus play and insect hotel making. As well as these great offerings there is access to delicious soul food, artisan markets and a mystic lane.
Pass-outs are welcome and families are encouraged to take some soul time at the beach or enjoy the businesses in the local area. Meesha Stacker, local yoga teacher and Soul Festival presenter quoted, “The ticket price is really accessible considering these days people will pay up to $30 for a casual yoga class and a few hundred for one day events that offer a lot less.”
